Our designs are inspired by the rich tribal culture found on the African continent.

For our Going South collection, we were inspired by the rich tradition of the Xhosa and Ndebele tribes, both living in South Africa.

The Xhosa is a tribe that lives mainly in the Southern Cape Province of South Africa. They form the second-largest cultural group in South Africa. Although many people of the Xhosa tribe largely live a modern life, ceremonial clothing is worn at important moments. This clothing is often richly decorated with embroidery and intricate geometric designs in recognizable black and white patterns.

The Ndebele tribe lives mainly in the northern part of South Africa and has an interesting and complex history that is deeply intertwined with the history of the country. The tribe is known for its joyful and colorful attire and the intricate patterns on the walls of their houses, which consist of linear and straight forms that are painted by hand by women of the tribe.
